‘Going Nowhere’ is a path along which you get lost in order to find yourself, a sonic way aimed at the expansion. A reverberating journey of introspection in search of identity. It's a path leading nowhere and, at the same time, taking you anywhere. In this album, the band shows a much firmer solidity and an increased maturity in their compositions, bordering neo-psychedelia, garage-psych or space rock, and exploring new genres close to folk, country and reggae. These sounds are the starting point of a journey during which the band has managed to achieve its own personality which is getting more and more palpable. The themes their lyrics explore and the atmospheres they create constantly inhabit the band's imaginary, proposing an optimistic perspective on existence. A persepctive which is, at the same time, based on the assimilation and overcoming of the pessimism that characterized contemporary society. Darkness and light merge in this album, forming an indissoluble whole you plunge yourself into, seeking connection to the cosmos. Coming from Zaragoza (Spain) with a three-year career and after a frenetic 2016 over which they have performed in festivals such as Primavera Sound, Milhoes de Festa, SOS 4.8 or Monkey Week, and after joining Jägermusic's roster, My Expansive Awareness are back in February 2017, with their upcoming LP ‘Going Nowhere’. It will be their fourth album in three years, released by Analog Love Records in 12” vinyl and CD. It was recorded in Laboratorio Audiovisual of Zaragoza, mixed in Estudios Circo Perrotti by Jorge Explosion and mastered in Vacuum Mastering. It also features the collaboration of Zaragoza’s local artist Kim Fasticks in two of the nine tracks of the album.
