The Estlin Project is an attempt to set poems by E.E. Cummings to music. The project’s first record, titled in the last light, comprises 14 settings of poems out of E.E. Cummings’ first collection, Tulips and Chimneys. Each setting has a different character (despite sharing a contrapuntal technique) incorporating influences by contemporary classical music, old jazz, medieval and renaissance music, blues, progressive rock, romanticism and minimalism. All songs were composed by Giorgos Kyriazis, except track 5, which was co-written by Thanos Margetis.
