This album is the sophomore effort from Rymdstyrelsen, Stockholm’s most loved spacerock act. The emotional charge of the music owes as much to 70s hard rock as to the current space trend, and they somehow turn this into an advantage. This interstellar crusade comes armed with long intense tracks, wailing fuzz guitars and a wealth of analogue synthesizers. The title song is an absolute epic into crystal meth dementia while tracks like White Dwarf owes as much to NWOBHM as to mid-70s Hawkwind. Lunar Mountains will be released on vinyl and CD by Kommun2/Svensk Psych Aften (home to Agusa, Hills, Centrum, Yuri Gagarin etc). The cover illustration is an original work by Swedish designer Henning Lindahl.
