At last the so long expected 7" EP of The Legendary Bang is here! It was one of the 1st promises of our label, as our choices for any release mostly depends in our connection with the bands and artists as fans. Everybody remembers one of the best indie pop labels of the nineties, based in Hamburg, Marsh Marigold records. The Legendary Bang were members of this pop explosion, took place back then. Unfortunately they only released two 7" EP's, always for Marsh Marigold, and they had some of their songs in compilations like "Love" in the international pop 7" compilation with The Yesterday Sky (Field Mice members), The Sugargliders and Red Sleeping Beauty. All recordings in this album are live, including two of their biggest hits, "Mozzer is Dead", written back in 1990 and "Last Night". Last Night was the last song ever writen by the band. It's really sad that they were never recorded properly in a studio, but we have the feeling that it is our obligation, to let them heard by all their fans around the world. The Legendary Bang members on tracks 2,3, and 4 were the original line up from a gig around 1991 : Jens Lameyer, Martin Bethke, Britta Nagel, Sandra Ziegelmuller and Peter Palatsik. Mozzer is dead played on the 25th anniversary of Marsh Marigold records in 2013. The Legendary Bang in this recording were : Jens, Peter, Martin with a little help from Ulli and Dyrko. The funny thing is that they participated in the first and only The Smiths convention in Germany and the concert went good unless they played this as the encore.
