Savage Republic are pioneers of American industrial and post-punk. From the very beginning, their music was distinguished by tribal trance and powerful rhythm, among others, thanks to the use of steel barrels, bars, springs and hammers. Their recordings are also compared with bands from early 4AD or Factory Records, as well as with Einstürzende Neubauten or Faust. The fascination of Savage Republic and the influence on their work are admitted, among others, by: Sonic Youth or Neurosis. “There are few artists who have created something unique. Those who fill those places in the soul where no one else reaches. Savage Republic are among the few” - Scott Kelly, Neurosis. After 8 years, the band suspended its activity and returned in 2004 with a slightly changed line-up, recording the album "1938". Savage Republic is uncompromising, also socio-political and publishing philosophy. They have never been interested in mainstream music or commercial conquering of the market. Savage Republic in 2021 includes: Thom Fuhrmann, Ethan Port, Alan Waddington and Kerry Dowling. The album is called "Meteora", it contains 9 tracks, among them "Unprecedented" written by Graham Lewis of Wire.
