Strap in as Zone Six delivers a mind-bending, trance-inducing and flat-out aural assault. Recorded live at Alien Rocket Flight Vol. 2 Festival in 2011, the result is an incredible immersive experience for your ears and brain. It’s one hell of a trip and a huge reason why Zone Six are regarded as one of the finest current heavy psychedelic bands.
Over 2 sides Zone Six whips up a raging slab of proto-punk where a series of controlled detonations blaze a trail through the vastness of the cosmos. The sheer exhilaration of its musical brute force is experimental but never inaccessible, dense as hell but never dumb, Untertassen is an epic voyage through eternal night.
Founded in 1997 by Dave Schmidt (aka Sula Bassana, on Spacebass) with his Liquid Visions pals Hans-Peter Ringholz (Guitar) and Claus Bühler (Drums), ZONE SIX are one of the first improv bands of their genre (neo- kraut-, space- & trancerock) in Europe. The line-up of the band changed very often which made their discography very colourful but never leaving the typical ZONE SIX manner! Also, the ZONE SIX concerts are rare so it’s always a kind of psychedelic happening when they enter the stage.
